target language into English and vice versa.
- Interpretation: translation by presenting or
conceptualizing the meaning of words, phrases, or text
from the source language into English.
- Proofreading: review translated text, hardcopy
or electronic document for purposes of error detection
and correction.
- Back translation: translating a document that
has been translated into a target language, back into
the source language without prior or current access to
the source text. It is a validation method that gives
assurance of content accuracy to satisfy scientific
research procedures or legal and ethical requirements.
- Transcription/translation of audio tapes and
audiovisuals: translation and production of an exact
verbatim copy of recorded information.
